We caught part of a football game on TV last night and I couldn’t figure out why the beefy football players we wearing pink towels, gloves, and socks. Then it hit me: It’s already October. October = Breast Cancer Awareness month. How great of the NFL players to join forces to represent such an important cause!

I’ve been wanting to paint a pumpkin with an argyle design this fall, and decided to paint pink ribbons for Breast Cancer instead of the typical argyle diamonds. Here’s how it turned out:

I just sprayed white primer on the entire pumpkin, then used a cut-out ribbon shape that I made and traced it on around the outside. I then painted the pink inside of the traced ribbon design. After that dried, I used the edge of a piece of paper as a straight template for the ‘stitches’ in dark gray. That was it!
